Facia Wins Project of the Year at the Global Fintech Awards 2024
Author: admin | 27 Nov 2024London, England – November 27, 2024 – Facia, an international provider of deepfake detection, liveness, and facial biometrics solutions for businesses, has won the Project of the Year Award at the inaugural Global Fintech Awards conducted by Fintech Magazine in 2024.
Fraudulent activities done using fake accounts, identity theft & duplicate records (through spoof technologies like deepfakes), cause modern fintechs massive financial losses every single year. Advanced facial biometrics and liveness detection are currently the most effective defense mechanisms for such companies to deal with these problems, and prevent the potential financial/reputational loss that they might subsequently incur.
Held late last month, the debut edition of the Global Fintech Awards brought together leaders of the finance and fintech domain to celebrate both achievements and milestones in digital banking, payments, and sustainability.
A total of 51 different companies and individuals were shortlisted as nominees for the first edition of the event, competing for 12 different awards. Other than Facia (the winner), there was one other company mentioned as ‘Highly Commended’, and two companies mentioned as ‘Shortlisted’ in the Project of the Year category.
