For example, our datasets extend beyond the Fitzpatrick Skin Type scale, incorporating a broader range of skin tones to ensure generalisability.
Algorithmic Bias Mitigation
De-biasing Techniques
We leverage pre-processing methods like data augmentation and normalisation, alongside adversarial training, to reduce dataset bias and improve model fairness and efficiency.
Counterfactual Analysis
This technique enables us to investigate how the AI's decisions would differ for individuals with different qualities (like ethnicity).It helps us find potential biases and take steps to ensure fairness.
