AI DEEPFAKE FRAUSTERS UTILIZING TRUMP & MUSK TO ENDORSE FAKE CRYPTO FAVORS

AI Deepfake Fraudsters Use Trump & Musk to Upgrade Synthetic Crypto Favors

Author: admin | 18 Mar 2025

AI deepfake fraudsters are rapidly using fake media to force fake crypto to donate to collaborating high-profile personalities, such as Donald Trump, Elon Musk, and Vitalik Buterin. Such hyper-realistic deepfake content spreads across X, misleading users into crypto frauds.

One of the fake videos of Trump in an altered interview with Maria Bartiromo, wrongly accused a $20 million crypto donation with Musk. However, another video shows Musk and Tucker Carlson endorsing the same plan, while a third collaboration with Buterin promotes a synthetic Ethereum Arbitrage Bot. Such fraudsters utilized the AI-driven voice and exploited images that seemed real, making them difficult to detect.

The fake videos come in comments on crypto posts and usually reference phony websites. Whois records indicate that these sites were privately registered on 12 March, 2025. Most of the X accounts posting these deepfakes trace back to between 2014–2020, implying that they were purchased instead of having been recently set up. There are even accounts that have lingering older, unconnected posts that expose their original use.

These scams spread beyond deepfakes on video, with certain accounts also supporting XRP double schemes. Even though tech-inclined people can identify fraud, others fall prey to these AI-led deceptions, which further reiterate the immediate need for proper AI content validation.
