What is ABIS: Difference between  Biometric Identification and Biometric Verification

The primary  difference between biometric identification and biometric verification is that biometric identification checks a person’s identity by matching their biometric information against the already stored database,while biometric verification checks a person’s particular  stored record by matching it with their biometric information.It’s a one-to-one (1:1) comparison system.Biometric identification confirms who a person is;while biometric verification confirms they  are indeed that person as identified.

  • The second step is  Deduplication where the system checks to avoid multiple registrations of already registered identities.
  • In the third phase, the system verifies the new identities with already registered identities.
  • The fourth and last step of the identification process includes reporting and analysis through which the administration can access insights and database progress.
